Maureen--

This all seems pretty sudden, with two posts in one day. Can you let us know what Ald. Balcer will be saying in the Trib and how it relates to the theater?

Ah, the enigmatic "JTB":

I appreciate your interest, but I would like to mention that your persistent anonymity makes it difficult to take you seriously.

See, we and others have signed our names to this effort and I can't help but notice when someone won't.

Kindly let us know your name so that we may know who you are and thereby begin to gauge your interest.

If you would like to remain anonymous, then you can simply read the paper like anybody else.

Thanks,

Robert C. Warmowski

Rob, if I wanted to retain my persistent anonymity, I would have posted under the name anonymous.

For the record, I have signed my name to this effort on the online petition. You can find it there. For now, I prefer not to post my legal name on this blog for privacy reasons. You never know who can hijack your real name and use it for whatever reason they want.

Whether you want to take me seriously or not is your own perogative (sic). But you need all the support you can get, whether those persons stay anonymous or not. Perhaps I will reveal myself when the time is right; maybe at a meeting. Until then, I will limit my public comments until we have more news, or there is a meeting.

There have been too many cases where the old theaters in our nation are being razed and replaced by condos. I don't want to see that happen to the Ramova. It's a nice looking structure and it could provide a new gathering spot for the hood. Plus, I like the idea of a movie theater in Bridgeport; there's no movie house now.

I wish you two all the best of luck in this efforts. I have a feeling you'll need it.
